Ken Vanluvanee, CEO Of Apyx, appointed as Vice-Chair Of DIA'S Advisory Council of North America

Collegeville, PA, June 15, 2009--The Drug Information Association (DIA) has announced that Ken VanLuvanee, CEO, president and founder of Apyx has been appointed to DIA's Advisory Council of North America (ACNA) as Vice-Chair. The term begins July 1, 2009 and runs through June 30, 2010.
DIA ACNA assists in meeting the mission, vision, and strategic plan of DIA and provides strategic input to the Board and Executive Director including recommendations on DIA products and services as well as topics and content for workshops, training, annual and other events.
Ken is a globally recognized expert in electronic document management and electronic publishing and has managed global publishing teams in the creation of submissions in multiple paper and electronic (eCTD) formats to multinational health authorities.

"I've been an active member of DIA for nearly two decades and have held leadership roles in several Special Interest Activity Communities (SIACs) including the Regulatory Submission Publishing SIAC and the Records Management and Archiving SIAC, as well as the Electronic Document Management Reference Model Working Group."
Ken also participates in the RPS working group sponsored by Health Level 7 (HL7), an FDA-sponsored and ANSII-accredited standards development organization charged with developing a future standard for transmission of electronic information between healthcare companies and global regulatory agencies.
